How Do You Smoke A One-Hitter Dugout?

 Smoking from a joint is similar to smoking a pipe, except you'll need to tilt it up so the cannabis doesn't fall out of the bowl because it's a straight pipe. If you are using one piece, slowly press the cupped end of a high quality weed tube and be sure to twist it with enough force to pack it more securely. You can do this a couple of times to pack the bowl more tightly, but make sure you don't stuff the bowl so tightly that it restricts airflow. You can use your fingers, a chopping board, or other flat surface to make the final cup wrap and remove any hanging bits of cannabis. 

This saves more colors than a pipe or bong because consumers often overfill the bowl with these devices. When you're smoking a joint or outdoors, a pipe or a bong, it's easy to pick up the whole bowl and smoke it all. You will most likely smoke the whole cup in one big breath, but some people like to take small puffs and take 2-3 attempts to smoke the whole cigarette. To pack the bowl (FYI, fill the end with what you want to smoke) the easiest way is to place the item on a flat surface, turn the tube vertically with the end of the bowl down and press the bowl against your weed (you can twist the tube as it presses down to better fill the bowl). 

If you are using a dugout, all you need to do is fill the weed chamber until it is almost full and press the end of the tube into it with a twisting motion. Usually a hollowed out box is 3 to 5 inches high and has room for a small whisk tube, a place for a cleaning tool, and another place for ground herb with a grinder or tobacco. Once you open each pirogue, you will all notice that it has three chambers or compartments inside; one is narrow and suitable for a beater, sometimes also called an abata, and the other is a larger space, also called an adguta, intended to store dried herbs or tobacco. If you don't have a dart and are using an old disposable tube, just remember to tilt the bench so gravity can help a little and double check your packaged weed to make sure it's perfectly packaged. 

Make sure you apply some pressure as you twist as you want the dry weed to completely fill the striker's top so you can at least ensure a full hit while smoking. 

While packing a standalone striker is not a difficult task, many smokers choose to use a pipe to make the loading process much easier. One-hitter, both chillum and dugout, usually use ground cannabis, so One-hitters are easier to pack and the weed won't fall out when smoked.
