Which Is Worse Nicotine Or Tobacco?

Nicotine is a dangerous chemical, not because nicotine causes cancer, but because it makes cigarettes addictive. Nicotine is only a threat when it becomes addictive to traditional cigarettes (that is, tobacco wrapped in paper). The nicotine in cigarette smoke is addictive and makes you smoke, but other harmful chemicals in cigarettes make smoking so dangerous.

Although nicotine can be addictive, most of the serious health effects of tobacco use are related to other chemicals. Tobacco companies use various chemicals to make the nicotine in cigarettes more active.

Studies have shown that people who use smokeless tobacco absorb as much or more nicotine in their bodies than people who smoke. Some people start vaping or inhaling e-cigarette vapors to avoid the health risks of smoking cigarettes made from tobacco.

The nature of e-cigarettes is that, like Russell's chewing gum, they contain nicotine and thus satisfy the cravings of smokers, but vaping - as e-cigarette smoking is called - does not burn tobacco and release these carcinogens. Instead, e-cigarettes have cartridges filled with liquid that may contain flavor oils, nicotine, tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) or cannabinoids (CBD), and other chemicals. Instant tobacco products are not the same as nicotine lozenges that help people quit smoking.

All tobacco products contain nicotine, including cigarettes, unburned cigarettes (commonly referred to as "non-burning tobacco products" or "heated tobacco products"), cigars, smokeless tobacco, waterpipe tobacco, and most cigarettes. The smoke from all cigarettes, natural or not, contains many cancer-causing (carcinogenic) chemicals and toxins that are produced when the tobacco itself is burned, including tar and carbon monoxide. In fact, hookah smoke has been proven to contain toxins such as carbon monoxide, nicotine, tar and heavy metals at concentrations equal to or even higher than those of cigarette smoke - it carries many of the same health risks.

If you have any side effects or health problems from smoking or vaping, or if you are already addicted to nicotine, it may cause more anxiety, depression, etc. In addition to other physical symptoms of cigarettes and e-cigarettes, these are the long-term physiological effects that nicotine can have on teens. Because their brains are still developing, young people are more likely than adults to become addicted to nicotine in tobacco products.

In addition to nicotine, e-cigarette vapor contains potentially harmful substances such as diacetyl (a chemical that causes severe lung disease), carcinogenic chemicals, volatile organic compounds (VOCs), and heavy metals such as nickel, tin, and lead. Pure forms of nicotine are much safer than smoking because they contain only nicotine, do not contain other toxic additives or chemicals, and are proven safe and effective. More
