How Much Is A Churchwarden Pipe?

Although FESS is not a briar pipe, the hardwood used is suitable for smoking tobacco. This is a wood pipe, not a briar pipe, however you will find that this pipe smokes just as well as almost all briar pipes at a much lower price. This shape may have originally been a popular choice for cherrywood "basket" pipes, which some believe is the origin of the name. Church guards were in vogue among the upper classes of the Elizabethan era, the simpler man smoking a short pipe, which was often shortened by breaking the end of the mouthpiece, mainly due to "common house pipes" in taverns and alehouses. the end of the rod, the short pipe was there for the enjoyment of the customers and by detaching the end it separated from the previous smoker.
